Finding a tick usually involves a squeamish self-examination — carefully rubbing fingertips through the scalp, meticulously scanning the body, and groaning “eyeww” if a little bloodsucker is discovered.
Karen Czerwinski, a mother of three, said outdoor-related injuries are to be expected throughout the summer season.
An Interlake veterinarian is encouraging dog owners to make sure their pets are protected from Lyme disease.
