Branson Daily News :: News :: Mother recalls struggle with Lyme disease
In June 2001, Laura Schroeder found a tiny tick on her back after playing with her puppy outside. She didn’t know at that time that she would practically lose the next few years of her life. Within days, she felt stiff and tired. Her back, where the tick was, was so sore it hurt to sit at her desk. It would take multiple doctor visits and hundreds of tests before she was diagnosed with Lyme disease.
