Chronic Lyme disease treatment could face insurance battle

Insurance companies could possibly refuse to pay for longer-term antibiotic treatments for chronic Lyme disease. A bill approved by the General Assembly and awaiting Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s approval would allow physicians to diagnose chronic Lyme disease without fear of censure by peers of state health officials.
