Flea, tick, mosquito outbreaks feared

ATLANTA - An “uptick” in the number of ticks in Georgia is being reported this year… and fleas and mosquitos, too. And, it’s because of the hot, wet weather.

Weather conditions are ideal for massive flea, tick and mosquito outbreaks according to the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA), but pet owners can take steps to protect their animals and themselves.
